Duaa Anwar ― Author
An Egyptian raised in the United
Arab Emirates, Duaa was born with a love of
horses. She spent most of her life reading and
studying about horses until finally becoming a
horse owner in 1995. She rides, competes, and
judges dressage, and advocates classical riding
and natural horsemanship through her website
www.ArtofRiding.com. Her articles have been
published across the web and in many equestrian
publications. She is currently preparing for an
instructor qualification issued by the British
Horse Society.

"I consider myself blessed to
have horses in my life
– to love
them, appreciate them, and learn from
them. When I look at a horse, I don't
just see a beautiful animal. In his
eyes, I see a reflection of wisdom and
awareness. I wrote I Am Equus
to articulate that silent wisdom and
reveal the true potential of our horses.

out "I am equus, this is me, this is how
I am, and I am intelligent, loyal, and
